Access Innovations Inc. Selected for Prestigious KM World AI 100: The Companies Empowering Intelligent Knowledge Management 2025

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – July 10, 2025 – Access Innovations Inc., provider of Data Harmony software, has been selected for inclusion in the prestigious 2025 KMWorld AI 100: The Companies Empowering Intelligent Knowledge Management.

“AI technologies are increasingly influencing the practice of knowledge management. Being able to use generative AI, in particular, to solve problems revolving around information access and knowledge sharing have the potential to increase productivity, lower costs, and provide better service. This year’s list of 100 AI companies reflects the growing power of AI,” said Marydee Ojala, Editor-In-Chief of  KMWorld.

Some other companies on the list include Adobe, Alphabet, IBM, Microsoft, Nvidia and OpenAI.

“We are honored to be part of this list as we continue to refine the way our system uses AI. We have been implementing AI since 1997, and fine-tune it with an optional human-in-the-loop for semantically enriching data precisely and automatically,” said Heather Kotula, President and CEO of Access Innovations.

Kotula added, “We enhance even the most complex medical, business or scientific content and increase the effectiveness of existing AI engines to improve the ability to find and discover information through search and data mining.”

Access Innovations’ Data Harmony software is a plug-in for RAG (retrieval augmented generation), enriching data prior to ingestion by LLMs to provide guardrails against misinformation and hallucinations.

Kotula noted that, according to Precedence Research, the global AI market was $638 billion in 2024 and is expected to reach $3.68 trillion by 2034, expanding at an annual growth rate of 19.2 percent. However, she added, this exponential growth is not without its challenges. In June 2025, Palo Alto Networks reported that 70 percent of generative AI platforms remained vulnerable to jailbreak attacks, bypassing built-in safety measures to produce  restricted or unethical outputs. A May 2025 New York Times article reported a 33 percent hallucination rate in Open AI’s o3 model and a 48 percent hallucination rate in o4-mini – more than double previous models.

“There is no doubt that AI is making processing informational text faster, easier, and more accurate while being less of a burden on humans. It is important when managing knowledge assets to use AI thoughtfully so you can deliver accurate and meaningful information to users,” Kotula said.
