Albuquerque, NM (May 1, 2008) – Access Innovations, Inc. (Access), the leader in the data management industry, has announced the release of version 3.4 of its Data Harmony software suite. The Data Harmony suite contains three major modules: 1) M.A.I.™, an automatic and assisted indexing system; 2) ThesaurusMaster™, for taxonomy and thesaurus creation; and 3) XIS™ – the XML Intranet System, for content creation and maintenance.
The release includes over 30 new features with revised and updated documentation. While these enhancements are significant, current users will find the same look and feel with friendlier and more functional features at their fingertips.
“We are very pleased to make this upgrade available to our customers because these changes are the result of user requests and suggestions. In a mature and production-hardened system like ours, incremental improvements are best suggested at the desktop,” explained Marjorie M.K. Hlava, Access Innovations president and chairman.
“Our motto at Access is ‘Changing Search to Found.’ Precision and recall are fully supported for the search, ensuring repeatable results and incremental additions to the result set with each successive search. The enhancements to our Data Harmony products make the software even easier to use, simplifying thesaurus construction,” she added.
Dr. Jay Ven Eman, CEO, said, “This commitment to accuracy is what differentiates us from other systems. We have helped customers achieve a nearly seven-fold increase in productivity, achieving 92% accuracy in the raw results. This is an incredible boost to the bottom line. People can do more with less. Most are doing the work previously done by four with a single person. With the daily increasing amount of information we all have to deal with, this is very important for morale, staff productivity, and ROI.”
