Access Innovations, Inc., provider of Data Harmony software solutions, is proud to announce the promotion of James Schumann to Director of Corporate Relations.
James has served previously as a taxonomist for Access Innovations. He holds an MBA with a concentration on Strategic Management from the Anderson School of Business at the University of New Mexico. Born and raised in Northeastern Ohio, James has seen his career take him to New Orleans, Chicago, and Albuquerque. He is an avid student of the Asian strategy game of Go, as well as a voracious reader of Philosophy, Rhetoric, Strategy, and Post-Modern Literature. When not wrestling with the various challenges of the Taxonomy life, James enjoys spending time with his wife and son, as well as outdoor activities.
“This is an exciting time for me, for Access Innovations, and for the industry as a whole,” says Mr. Schumann. “I look forward to helping Access Innovations continue to set the standard and further nurture relationships with our clients.”
“James is a great addition to our team, bringing strategic perspective to content enrichment,” comments Jay Ven Eman, CEO of Access Innovations. “We believe that our current and future clients will benefit from James’s skills and vision.”
Mr. Schumann is responsible for interfacing with current and potential clients, understanding the challenges they face, and developing project workflows and specifications to address these challenges.
“One of my favorite aspects to this position is the opportunity to meet and get to know various people throughout the industry. With the exponential growth in data and knowledge bases, new challenges and interesting problems are a daily occurrence,” says Mr. Schumann. “It’s rewarding to assist clients in overcoming the obstacles they face in optimizing and leveraging data to its fullest effect.”
He will be attending industry-related conferences, the next being Taxonomy Boot Camp in Washington, DC, November 4 – 7, 2019, and the Data Harmony Users Group East (DHUGE) 2019 meeting, also in Washington, DC, on November 8, 2019.
