The initial suite of software products is the result of Access Innovations' twenty-nine years experience as a database design and construction company specializing in moving and converting electronic collections of text materials from one format or platform to another as the technology and user needs change.

Each project provides unique opportunities and challenges. Previously we used commercially available software tools. However, the needs of our clients were progressing faster than the software tools available, so our programming team created a suite of tools for use internally to make our processes easier. This formed the basis for the Data Harmony thesaurus management suite.

NewsIndexer

NewsIndexer uses a specialized vocabulary of terms reflecting the media's evolving vernacular. Developed and perfected by our team of programmers and taxonomy experts, NewsIndexer allows either automatic news filtering or assists human indexers in applying subject terms to individual news articles.

NewsIndexer terms are mapped for compliance with the NITF (News Industry Text Format) standards of the IPTC (International Press Telecommunications Council)

Data Harmony's software suite - or your own legacy system for taxonomy building and content management - can be enhanced with the supplemental licensing of one of our taxonomies, or knowledge domains. These organized outlines of fields of knowledge are often essential to proper utilization of information.

We have a number of taxonomies currently available for licensing, with discounts for multiple domain licenses. Tailored and customized domains are also available.
